Extended Replacement Warranty

Our battery-powered 18V, 36V and USB lithium tools, as well as our LINKā„¢ Modular Storage System, have impressive 6-year warranties. Thatā€™s broken down into 4 years of standard coverage PLUS an additional 2 years when you register your product online within 30 days of purchase at MyRYOBI.

    Unfortunately, only products purchased after 1st June 2017 are eligible for the extended warranty. Products bought before this date can still be registered on MY RYOBI.

    RYOBI offers an extended 2 year warranty on selected Cordless power tools (excluding batteries and chargers) along with a standard 4 year replacement warranty, provided they are: 

    1. Purchased from Bunnings after 1st June 2017 

    2. and registered on a MY RYOBI account with a valid Bunnings receipt within 30 days of the purchase date. 

    If you have registered a cordless power tool which meets the above criteria and not received an extended warranty, please contact our customer service team on 0508 MY RYOBI (0508 697 9624).

    RYOBI offers an extended 2 year warranty on selected Cordless power tools (excluding batteries and chargers) along with a standard 4 year replacement warranty. In order to be eligible for an additional 2 year extended warranty, these cordless power tools need to be purchased from Bunnings after 1st June 2017, and registered on a MyRYOBI account with a valid proof of purchase within 30 days of the purchase date.

    If you've registered your RYOBI product but haven't received confirmation of your warranty, there are a few possible reasons. First ensure that you've provided a valid proof of purchase during registration, such as an original receipt from Bunnings Warehouse and registered it within 30 days from purchase. Without this, your warranty claim may not be processed. Second, it's essential to check that your product falls within the specified warranty periods outlined in our terms.       Yes, you can still register your RYOBI product. However, your product will not be covered by our warranty, please call us on 0508 MY RYOBI (0508 697 9624) for specific advice or refer to terms & conditions.

      Proof of purchase FAQs

        To claim your RYOBI warranty, you'll need a valid proof of purchase: an original receipt from Bunnings Warehouse or SMS copy, a clear photo of the receipt where the Bunnings receipt number, date of purchase and product details are visible.  If you've lost the receipt, you can also use a credit or debit card statement that specifically verifies the purchase.  If your product was not purchased at Bunnings, it won't be eligible for an extended warranty, and you'll need to lodge any warranty claims with the original seller.

        Great news that you received a Ryobi gift! Although it may feel a little uncomfortable, it's best to ask the gift giver for a copy of the receipt in case you need to make a warranty claim.

        Model Number FAQs

          You can locate the model number of your product on the rating plate, which is affixed to the product itself. The specific location of the rating plate varies depending on the type of product you have. To find the model number, look at the top-right corner of the rating plate; it will begin with a letter.

          Serial Number FAQs

            You can find the serial number of your product on its rating plate. The location of this plate varies depending on the type of product you have. The serial number is indicated in the area labeled 'SER NO/S NO' and is usually white or silver. Please also include the digits that follow in the sections marked 'W' and 'Y' when registering your product.

            Providing the serial number is crucial for verifying your product's authenticity, determining its warranty eligibility, identifying your specific model for better customer service, tracking any previous repairs, and establishing ownership in cases like theft or recalls.

            Warranty Claim FAQs

              All warranty claims must be made at your local Bunnings store. If your product is a Ride on Mower, contact customer service on 0508 MY RYOBI (0508 697 9624).

              If your product was not purchased at Bunnings, it won't be eligible for an extended warranty, and you'll need to lodge any warranty claims with the original seller.

              No, you don't need to return the entire kit if a single component is faulty. You can opt for a like-for-like replacement of the faulty item. To facilitate the return, provide the replacement item receipt and ensure the product meets all warranty conditions.
