How does a tabless battery work?

Standard lithium-ion batteries contain cells that transfer their energy via 2 tabs at the top and bottom of each cell, which can restrict the flow of power. RYOBI’s tabless batteries use larger 21700 cells where the top and bottom of the cell contain continuous connection points, delivering free-flowing power with less internal resistance.
